He looks at this exercise as an directional obedience, therefore he does not use a helper/decoy to teach the dog to go around. The foundation from this video is a must before watching and working on the advanced blind search (Part 2). By the end of this lesson the dog learns to run 3 blinds. But the essence of this lesson is the fact that the dog learns to use the handler as an important part of the blind search, therefore the dog does not memorize specific pattern and field, but learns to run blinds anywhere.
