Directed by Ivan Balabanov Featuring Description This lesson shows how I teach the Call Out of the blind for IPO. It is *not* a lesson that teaches the Bark and Hold. Many trainers fear the Call Out exresise and wait to teach it last. Others try not to call the dog out untill the trial day, because forcing the dog to leave the helper can have some long lasting problems and build a lot of anxiety as the handler aproaches the blind. The dog needs to learn how to switch off from being engaged with the decoy in a hold and bark and go into basic position when called, but till then he has to maintain his focus and intensity towards the decoy. In this video I also explain for a first time my idea of "Hot Spots" during protection training. this lesson is 20 minutes long. |
